Discount stuff.....

Do you like to get a discount when you shop?

I certainly do, in fact my wife will often walk away from me when I come to pay for things we’ve bought because I always ask for a discount.

She gets embarrassed by it but I think it’s a fair and reasonable way to do business and, as we were taught as kids, if you don’t ask you don’t get…

This is especially true of travel bookings.

When it comes to travel, no-one likes to pay full price when someone else is getting it at a discount, that’s just human nature isn’t it?

But, when you go to the travel agent to purchase your discount travel the temptation is to always pay what's on the label or what the travel agent tells you is the cost, especially if you’re like my wife and don’t like to ask for a discount.

Here’s a challenge for you, if you’re like that, the next time you go into an electrical store to buy a new toaster, jug, television etc. ask for a discount, I can almost guarantee you’ll get at least 10% off the original asking price.

Then problem often is just that you do have to go to the shop and actually ask for the discount.

Remember, if you don’t ask for a discount you don’t get one…
