Tasmania attractions.

Tasmania attractions, if you like great scenery and dark history then Tasmania is the place for you.

A wilderness area unlike anywhere else in Oz, Tasmania will at once both charm you with it’s picturesque towns and villages and enthral you with it’s abundance of natural wonders.

Hobart from across the water.

Hobart is a good place to start your exploration of the Tasmania attractions; you’ll find more places of interest to visit than you could possibly see in just a few days.

Why not follow in the footsteps of Charles Darwin!

Take a fun, challenging and amazing scenic 2.5 hour walk from the middle slopes of Mount Wellington to the Summit.

Native birds including endemic honeyeaters flit around as you experience a beautiful forest of eucalypts, ferns and unique Gondwana rainforest species.

Get to the top and admire sweeping views of Hobart. Coming down? Don't try this at home....

Coming down?

The Mt Wellington Descent is by far the most fun and exciting activity you can do in a short amount of time in Tasmania.

This three hour Tasmania attraction departs daily to the top of Mt Wellington with a thrilling bike ride back to sea level.

For your slice of Tasmanian adventure, book this tour today!

After all that exercise you’ll need to replenish and restore your energy.

What better way than a visit to the chocolate factory…

A chocoholic's dream!

Situated on a picturesque peninsula of land protruding into the Derwent River at Claremont, the Cadbury Schweppes Chocolate Factory, another of Tasmania's attractions, was established in 1922.

Here's the fun bit!

Join a fascinating tour of the factory and taste test delicious samples - as I said, a chocoholic's dream!

Just think about whats inside.

Opportunities to purchase tantalizing chocolates are available upon completion of your guided tour, just before your relaxing and picturesque cruise back to Hobart.

Feeling a little more adventurous?

Book a tour on the South Coast Track from Melaleuca in Tasmania's south-west corner to Cockle Creek on the edge of the settled south-east.

This tour will take you on a magnificent journey through World Heritage wilderness. Now this is isolated.

The track is approximately eighty kilometres (fifty miles) long.

Along the way it passes through stands of wet rainforest, along many golden beaches, over coastal ranges and headlands and beside quiet lagoons.

You can fly into Melaleuca as an added bonus enabling you on a clear day to see all of what makes south-west Tasmania so special.

You should allow nine days for the trip so that you have ample time to appreciate the special points of interest along the way.

Your schedule will include one complete rest day and four to five half days to spend on side trips, fishing, swimming or just relaxing around the camp.

A highlight of the trip is the sense of group identity that develops from spending nine days together with a small group and virtually no outside contact.

This tour is seasonal please check for specific departure dates.

Nice place to visit but you would not want to stay here....would you?

Now here’s one of the great Tasmania attractions you really mustn’t miss.

Port Arthur Historic Site is a compelling and dramatic reminder of our convict past and the early settlement of the Colony of Van Dieman's Land, now Tasmania.

Interpretive and interactive presentations bring home the reality the harrowing life of convicts 200 years ago.

Please note, this tour offers the opportunity for maximum time at Port Arthur Historic Site.

To really experience the variety of wonderful attractions in Tasmania you couldn't do better than a See Tasmania Card.
