Sydney restaurants.
Sydney is a multi-cultural, cosmopolitan city, and Sydney restaurants, with an abundance of fresh vegetables and seafood, have some of the finest food you will find anywhere in the world.
This wonderful city has some very talented chefs who are constantly creating innovative, mouth watering delights and as Australia's unique native cuisine, bush-tucker, is becoming more accessible it should be at the top of your list of foods to try while you’re here.
Darling Harbour has some of the finest of Sydney’s restaurants serving a wide range of types of food, or for pub meals which are good but fairly reasonable visit one of the cafes or Sydney restaurants in The Rocks, you’re sure to find something to suit your tastes.
Chinatown is also a great place to eat out, offering wonderful food and dining, spreading outwards from Dixon Street.
If modern and trendy is for you then try the food outlets in King Street in Newtown or one of the top Sydney restaurants on Glebe Point Road.
The coastal resorts of Bondi, Coogee and Manly offer some fast food places, and also a growing number of cafes, which are now the places to ‘hang out.’
My favourites in Sydney would have to include Baia San Marco Cafe in Cockle Bay Sussex Street, Darling Harbour where you can get great Italian food and 25% off the food bill or 15% off the total bill.
Level Three, at the Blacket Hotel, on the corner of King & George Streets, in the Sydney CBD is also a great favourite.
Here they offer a modern Australian menu in a contemporary romantic setting and again you can also get 20% off the total bill.
Georges Bar & Grill on the The Promenade, King Street Wharf in the Sydney CBD is a modern waterfront haven for bar dwellers and diners.
We really enjoyed the delightful views of Darling Harbour and the inviting, fresh ambience.
The Grove Bar at Georges also has an extensive wine list, with several superb selections of imported Greek wines and an exceptional cocktail list, exemplified by the Baklava Martini.
Needless to say, Ouzo is readily available for the more daring guests and, as with all fine restaurants, bookings are essential.
Enjoy,
John.
