South Australia Attractions.

My list of South Australia Attractions to see and do is still over 500 items long.....

It will be totally impossible to list all the attractions in South Australia here but we will give you an insight into what’s available as you visit this wonderful part of Oz, just follow the links on the page to find what you're looking for.

Theres a magic blend of the old and the new in Adelaide.

A good place to start your tour of the South Australia Attractions is Adelaide the state’s capital.

Adelaide is home to AAMI Stadium, which, in turn, is the home of AFL football in South Australia; if well built men in tight shorts turn you on then you simply must go here and take a tour, (the blokes can always wait at the nearest pub).

Guided tours are available Monday to Friday excluding South Australian National Football League and Australian Football League match days.

If you’re a serious foodie then the Adelaide Central Market is a South Australia attraction you simply must see.

Buzzing with sights and sounds and wonderful smells the Adelaide Central Market will seriously damage all your good intentions to lose weight, and you’ll love it.

Perhaps your next move should be to grab a bike and cycle around the city.

It's a fun way to explore Adelaide's parklands, wide boulevards and bustling market district. Perhaps you would enjoy pedalling a bike beside the River Torrens. Take the scenic bicycle track along the River Torrens.

Skirt our broad city perimeters at your own pace.

The city council’s free bike scheme allows you to travel anywhere within Adelaide city limits, all you need is a drivers licence, proof of identity card or passport.

You can grab your bike from the Rundle Street Market on Sundays, Bicycle SA in Hurtle Square or Cannon Backpackers at 110 Franklin Street.

Art galleries, heritage listed homes, beautiful parks and gardens are all South Australia attractions for you to enjoy in Adelaide and while you’re there you mustn’t miss the famous Rundle Street markets, located, would you believe, in Rundle Street.

These markets offer some serious shopping for those so inclined and, as I said before, the blokes can always wait at the nearest pub!

A wild koala in a tree, now thats different.

And then there’s Kangaroo Island....

One of earth's last unspoilt refuges, Kangaroo Island is Australia’s third largest island, seven times the size of Singapore!

Kangaroo Island literally teems with wildlife and, guess what, it’s all wild…

The koalas live in trees, the kangaroos look at you from a distance daring you to just try to touch them, and the seals live their lives in the sea and on the beaches.

Kangaroo Island is another “must see” South Australia attraction if you are remotely interested in our unique Australian wildlife.

You can get more information or book your tour from Adelaide right here.

As you might expect in The Barossa, the vineyards and wineries feature prominently in the list of South Australia attractions you must see. Well, not everyone drinks wine do they?

The local food is superb, the wine is the equivalent of any in the world and better than most; yes, here is a place where you could quite easily eat and drink yourself into oblivion.

Food and wine however are not the only attractions in this wonderful part of the world.

You can also visit........................

a brewery.........!

Barossa Brewing Company is a boutique brewery in the Barossa region of South Australia.

At the Barossa Brewing Company, they take beer seriously, (don’t we all?), producing small batches of pure, traditionally fermented beers, hand-crafted from the best ingredients available.

If beer and wine are not your thing then perhaps you might like to discover the gold mining history of the area on one of the two loop trails.

The shorter loop is just over one kilometre long and takes about one hour to complete.

Yes, he is wild, and yes you may see him in one of Adelaides parks.

The longer loop is about five kilometres and takes three to four hours.

Interpretive signs illustrate mining techniques, geology, and treatment of ore and the lifestyles of people who lived there.

Yes, as you might expect in The Barossa, the vineyards and wineries will feature prominently in the list of places you must see but there’s also the historical museum, the art galleries, the cheese factory, splendid parks and gardens and so much more.

Don't miss out, book your tour of The Barossa right here and you’ll avoid any possibility of being caught for driving under the influence of all that indulgence.

As I said, South Australia is full of wonderful things to see and do.

Whether you like to “get amongst it’ and sample the delicious fare on offer or prefer to just go sightseeing, whether you would rather drive yourself around the beautiful countryside or let someone else drive the coach, whether you’d like to walk around or pedal one of Adelaide’s free bicycles, you'll find it all here.
