Perth shopping.

Perth shopping is world class.

Shopping centres throughout the metropolitan area and all are fully air-conditioned and have plenty of parking facilities for both parents with infants, the elderly and disabled.

As well as the air-conditioning and the parking they all have, would you believe, a wide variety of shops ;).

If you are looking for a specialty store, department or discount store, supermarket, or food hall, then the Perth shopping centres are the places to head for.

The Hay Street Mall. The two main outdoor Perth shopping malls are the Murray and Hay Street malls both of which are closed to traffic and offer a wide range of specialty stores.

There are several arcades that run off either Murray street mall or the Hay street, mall and link the city from St George's Terrace to Wellington street.

The Perth shopping in the city centre can easily be accessed by public transport, either on the trains or buses.

The train and northern bus stations are very close to Forrest Chase (off the Murray street mall), and can be accessed via pedestrian walkways.

Throughout Perth, the public transport provider, TransPerth, gives people the ability to travel anywhere within the city on a CAT, which is a free bus service.

The TransPerth trains are very clean and safe. Visit here for more information..

Perth Shopping hours:

In the city are generally:

Saturday 8.00 am - 5:30 pm.

Sunday ( in the city & Fremantle) 12 pm - 6 pm, but not all shops will open.

Times may vary over Christmas and other special periods.

Whilst central Perth is the main shopping district, Subiaco, Claremont, Leederville, Cottesloe and Fremantle all have boutiques, galleries and cafes lining their leafy main streets.

So if you want to escape the city shopping for the day then head for these centres they all offer a wide variety of wonderful shops.

The Regal Theatre at Subiaco. Subiaco and Claremont are more popular for their clothing fashions, and Freo is known for its arts and crafts and souvenirs.

All of these areas are on the Fremantle train route or public bus routes.

In Fremantle the famous Fremantle Markets have been opened since 1897 and are now the classified by the National Trust.

In a large single story purpose built stone building, the Fremantle Markets houses many small stores selling everything from jewellery and music to clothing, local arts and crafts, and souvenirs.

Subiaco or Subi is the center of style in Perth, a modern, trendy place with a certain old-world charm, its vintage streets and are teeming with gourmet food stores, designer apparel stores, quality clothing outlets and homewares, jewellery and other fine products.

The Colonnade is a small but impressively designed construction that contains most of the designer label outlets in Perth, from Calvin Klein, Lisa Ho, Saba and many other prestigious names.

Hillarys boat harbour. Hillarys Boat Harbour is another place not to be missed.

Hillarys is located on the Sunset Coast only twenty minutes from Perth City and only 45 minutes from Perth’s Domestic and International Airports.

A major tourist centre for Perth shopping and recreation in the northern suburbs, it is also known as Sorrento Quay.

The boardwalks extend out over the water and many specialty shops and boutique stores sit over the water amongst cafes, restaurants and a great pub.

Below is a reasonably complete list of major shopping precincts in Perth city and the greater Perth area.
