Geelong.

Geelong is the second largest city in the state of Victoria and is the largest regional centre of that state.

Geelong is one of the largest provincial cities in Australia and is situated on the Barwon River at Corio Bay, about 75 kilomtres (approximately 50 miles) from Victoria's capital Melbourne.

The urban area is quite large, stretching from Waurn ponds in the south to Lara in the north and from the hills in the west to Corio Bay in the east.

Geelong, Victoria's second largest city. No matter what time of the year you visit, there's always plenty to do in Geelong.

You can wander along the waterfront and take in the magnificent bay views, spectacular public art and amazing open spaces or you can get a glimpse of the city's past through the Bollard Walk.

Marvel at the Art Deco beauty of Eastern Beach including the historic swimming enclosure or even take a ride on an antique carousel.

Enjoy some wonderful art galleries and museums, there’s so much to see…from precious works of art at the Geelong Gallery to a car lover’s paradise at the Ford Discovery Centre or discover the city's heritage at the National Wool Museum.

Watch the latest films at Village Cinemas in genuine comfort, or perhaps the live performances at The Performing Arts Centre are more your style.

Beautiful old buildings and timeless architecture are free for you to enjoy by simply walking through the city or take a history lesson with the Central Geelong Arts & Culture Trail.
