Australian Attractions.

There is a wonderful range of Australian attractions with something to suit every taste.

Indeed, the lure of an Australian holiday for many lies in the great number of unique attractions that are to be found in Australia.

Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock. There are so many Australian tourist attractions, places like Uluru, that's Ayers Rock to those who don't speak the language, and the Great Barrier Reef stretching some 2000 kilometres along the coast of Queensland which, with its many coral beach islands, is an underwater haven of colorful reefs and marine life and a paradise for divers and romantics alike.

Our Australian tourist attractions include some wonderful national parks, breathtaking tropical rainforests, dazzlingly white sandy beaches and starkly beautiful "outback" wilderness.

There are also many man made Australian tourist attractions that are well worth your time to visit.

Yes, the coral on the Great Barrier Reef really does look like this.

Places like the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge to name just two.

Northern Territory Attractions:

In the Northern Territory there is Kakadu National Park, Arnhem Land and Katherine Gorge to visit for their rainforests, crocodiles and other wildlife, unique land formations, rivers and gorges, and an insight into Aboriginal life.

The beautiful Katherine Gorge.

Queensland Attractions:

In Queensland, we've got not only the Great Barrier Reef but also the Gold Coast, Noosa on the Sunshine Coast and Fraser Island, the world's largest sand island, as tropical Australian attractions and destinations.

A visit to the extinct volcano town of Toowoomba on the Darling Downs is also an opportunity to taste a little of the Australian country life.

New South Wales Attractions:

In New South Wales, Australian attractions include Sydney with its famous landmarks, the Rocks (birthplace of Australia), the South Coast, the Blue Mountains, limestone caves and white sand beaches.

Among the Australian attractions in the Australian Capital Territory are the Australian Parliament House, the National Gallery of Australia, the National Museum of Australia and the Australian War Memorial.

Attractions in Victoria:

Amongst the Australian attractions you'll find in Victoria there's the charm of Melbourne itself, the Melbourne Museum, the Great Ocean Road and the Twelve Apostles, Phillip Island for all those fairy penguins coming home from the sea at dusk.

Attractions in South Australia:

The Great Ocean Road in South Australia, another must see Australian attraction. In South Australia major Australian attractions include the Adelaide Hills, the Barossa Valley wine country, Kangaroo Island, the Fleurieu Peninsula and the stark desert landscape of Coober Pedy where most of the wonderful Australian opals are found and where half the people live underground.

Western Australia Attractions:

Swimming with a whale shark in Western Australia .

Western Australia has Perth, Fremantle, and Rottnest Island with its quokkas, Monkey Mia where you can have close encounters with dolphins, and Ningaloo Reef where you can swim with the whale sharks.

Go the Kimberleys and visit the color-striped rock towers of the Bungle Bungles, you'll be in awe...

Tasmania Attractions:
